Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role you'll take ownership of financial and operational aspects of R&D projects co-financed by the EU, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing project operations and financial reporting: Monitoring projects' financial progress and reporting in line with internal and external control rules, ensuring compliance with company policies and EU funding guidelines.
- Driving project financial reviews and performance analysis: Organize operational and financial reviews throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project teams. Analyze performance, identify risks, and implement corrective action plans to improve key project metrics.
- Collaborating across teams: Work closely with internal teams (Finance, HR, Engineering) and external stakeholders (EU funding agencies, public administration, audit/control bodies) to ensure smooth project execution and compliance.
- Problem-solving and decision-making: Use your technical expertise and analytical skills to address challenges, make informed decisions, and deliver impactful solutions.
- Simplifying processes: Apply your expertise to streamline processes and drive operational excellence, leveraging lean principles to enhance efficiency.
- Ensuring audit readiness: Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company policies, project rules, and external audit requirements.
Required Qualifications
We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional with:
- Proven experience in finance, European Union funding, and project financial management.
- Strong knowledge of project finance, financial monitoring and reporting, budgets, accounting rules, and EU funding eligibility requirements.
- A bachelor's degree minimum, from an accredited university or college.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel.
