We are seeking an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Tech Lead to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-scale AVD environments. This role involves leading technical teams, ensuring secure and scalable deployments, and driving cost efficiency across virtual desktop infrastructure.

We are seeking an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Tech Lead to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-scale AVD environments. This role involves leading technical teams, ensuring secure and scalable deployments, and driving cost efficiency across virtual desktop infrastructure.
Skill Required:
- Experience in Automating Infrastructure deployment
- Nerdio Manager for Enterprise experience.
- DevOps mindset: CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, automated golden image pipelines
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and M365 stack.
- Strong analytical skills for performance tuning, cost optimization, and root-cause analysis
Selection Criteria:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design and implementation of AVD host pools, application groups, workspaces, and session hosts.
- Lead a team of Cloud engineers and work with MSP to ensure reliability and resiliency of the AVD environment; execute lifecycle and functional upgrade of changes
- Develop best practices, maintain architecture documentation, and implement security and compliance hardening.
- Architect and deploy autoscaling, golden image pipelines, and IaC using Ansible/Terraform.
- Automate deployment and management workflows via PowerShell, Ansible Playbooks, or Nerdio Manager.
- Implement cost optimization strategies for AVD environments and conduct regular reviews to propose cost-saving measures.
- Solid understanding of FSLogix, Azure Files/NetApp, and profile containerization
- Strong Azure networking and identity (AD/Azure AD, SSO) expertise
- Demonstrated leadership in managing mid-sized technical team
- Experience in client-facing consulting, requirements gathering, and architectural reviews
- Ensure work items are documented, assigned, and complaint with ADO Boards standards for visibility & traceability.
- Experience with various architecture styles, design patterns and best practices for software development.
- Experience evaluating technology options, and modern architecture trade-off analysis
- Knowledge of API Protocols (REST, SOAP,)
- Knowledge of Azure Services (App Services, Functions, Azure DevOps)
