PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Approve, release, and monitor the status of production and purchase requisitions.
  • Develop and provide input to the manufacturing build plan.
  • Establish priorities and communicate with support functions while taking an active role in problem resolution as needed.
  • Coordinate with all shop departments to ensure appropriate inventory levels; maintain knowledge of plant operations and equipment design to enable accurate planning.
  • Review and release work orders based on system demand, manage system-recommended messages, and maintain work order dates in alignment with organizational metrics.
  • Periodically review nonconformances and engineering changes and revise work orders as required.
  • Regularly update work order due dates according to fluctuations in in-house capacity and vendor delivery schedules.
  • Notify the Planning Manager of any changes that may impact part lead times to ensure system accuracy.
  • Monitor and adjust safety stock levels in the system as necessary.
  • Create and modify shop work routers.
  • Verify proper closure of work orders once repairs are complete.
  • Communicate job status and workflow updates with CRR.
  • Deliver quality service by adhering to organizational standards.
  • Comply with all NOV company policies and HSE procedures.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Higher education degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience, or equivalent education/knowledge, preferably in:
    • Manufacturing environments
    • Planning
    • Project Management (CAPM/PMP certification preferred)
  • Product-specific knowledge for applicable departments preferred (e.g., BOPs, Top Drives, Motion Compensation, Rig Floor Equipment).
  • Computer proficiency required; advanced experience with Microsoft Excel strongly preferred.
  • ERP experience preferred with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings preferred.
