About the role

As part of the Finance ERP Transformation journey, we are looking for a Finance ERP Transformation Deployment Data Manager, who will report to the Finance ERP Transformation Deployment Senior Manager. This new role will work with the business, FBT teams and project teams to ensure delivery of the finance data activities as part of the business entity deployment roadmaps.

In this role you will play a critical role in leading, coordinating and supporting data activities for the deployment of the SAP global financial business template, ensuring alignment to fit to standard data requirements and seamless interaction with other functions, transforming all bp finance data according to the S/4 finance template design.

You will seamlessly work with the business and FBT teams for Finance to drive all data related activities for finance deployment and coordinate with the ERP Transformation Data Managers, CDO teams, and any other data projects to provide consistent and standard data designs to meet business requirements.

You will play an integration role for finance data requirements and activities with other project teams (asset management, procurement, order to cash...) to have integrated data solutions.

You will be part of a deployment team working closely with process and change managers to cover all aspects needed for a successful deployment to our finance community.

What you will deliver

• You will act as Finance Data SME and work with the business and FBT users during deployment to foster adoption and understanding of the new global financial template underpinned by global data design.
• You will support data analysis and discovery activities and engage with the CDO and GPO teams to identify any gaps, queries or concerns raised by the business users related to data requirements and ensuring these are correctly captured and addressed.
• Lead engagement across finance and supply finance partners e.g., procurement, order to cash and asset management data and process teams to bring end-to-end solutions underpinned by standardized data to the business and address data integration needs.
• Partner with the Deployment leads to transform and stabilize all data related project activities for finance.
• Perform analytics in the project to support business data activities through the different phases of the project to ensure data is streamlined, enriched and transformed to meet the new Finance data design standards for S/4.
• Provide the business with the tools, analysis and details needed to manage their data to be designed and transitioned to the new S/4 systems.
• Understand our data definition standards for finance objects, and define data quality reports and metrics to track the alignment of data to the new standards
• Work with the Data Hub technology project team and the Finance Data Managers to design, extract, transform and load the business data for the new S/4 financial template.
• Deliver project deployment activities to schedule, quality, scope and cost.
• Identify and raise deployment dependencies and risks, to ensure these are visible to the program leadership teams and can be mitigated.
• Partner with change leads to implement effective change management, ensuring business readiness, end-user adoption and adequate training programs in data related activities.
• Collaborate within our Quantum Finance team and the FBT enabling solutions teams to ensure data requirements from current ECC the future S/4 are understood and addressed within the fit to standard design.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement in a fast paced, evolving environment.

It would be essential that you have:

• 7+ years of experience in SAP deployments with specific focus in financial processes and data
• 7-10 years of experience in SAP data quality, data management, data migration processes for Finance objects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Good understanding and experience in working with cross-functional teams, with proven evidence of collaborating and developing partnerships across different teams.
• Outstanding ability to prioritise and work in a fast paced and demanding project environment
• Good knowledge of SAP finance processes across various modules (GL, AP, AR...)

It would also be desirable that you have:

• Experience in support of Oil and Gas businesses or manufacturing businesses (focus on Customer and Products and/or Supply, Trading and Shipping)

• Good knowledge of processes and financial data flows of the current bp SAP ECC templates (i.e. global financial template GFT and Americas financial template AFT) and business impacts
• Experience in migrations to S/4 HANA for finance.

Up to 10% travel should be expected with this role
