Nuclear European Supplier Performance Engineer

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Supplier Performance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with suppliers to foster strong relationships, monitor their performance, ensure timely deliveries, and identify opportunities for improvement.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Supplier Evaluation and Development:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of suppliers, evaluating their capabilities for complex technical products, processes, and systems. Ensure manufacturing facilities are fully equipped with all necessary machinery, spare parts, materials, components, and supplies.
• Lead supplier development and qualification initiatives for new products and cost reduction projects, including risk identification and mitigation, project schedule management, process capability and measurement system analyses, and input on design for manufacturability
• Prepare performance reports and presentations for management reviews on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Supplier Management:
• Communicate and enforce quality and technical requirements to suppliers.
• Drive supplier performance by maintaining and analyzing performance scorecards and dashboards to maximize value from purchase orders.
• Develop and implement Performance Improvement Plans for suppliers exhibiting negative trends, managing corrective actions through the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process, including root cause analysis and verification of preventative and corrective measures.
Continuous Improvement:
• Utilizing data-driven approaches to identify opportunities for improvement in supplier performance and processes.
• Working closely with internal teams (engineering, procurement, quality) and suppliers to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Contribute to the development of a nuclear supply chain playbook.

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in supplier management, quality assurance, or a similar role.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining (turning, milling), welding, forming, mechanical assembly, non-destructive examination (NDE), inspection, and testing.
Strong communication, problem solving, analytical skills, and familiarity with metrics and KPIs.
Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and PowerBI.
Fluent in verbal and written English.
