Short description

We are seeking an experienced HDD Mud Technician o join a major pipeline project in Southern Germany. The candidate will manage drilling fluid systems for HK rigs (100-ton and 250-ton), ensuring optimal borehole stability and compliance with project specifications.

Function description

• Prepare, mix and maintain drilling fluids according to HDD project requirenments
• Monitor fluid properties (viscosity, density, sand content) and adjust as needed
• Operate and maintain mud pumps, recycling systems and mixing units
• Ensure proper fluid circulation and borehole stability during drilling and pullback operations
• Conduct regular testing and record fluid parameters accurately

Requirements

For this project, you will need to:

• Have proven experience as an HDD Mud Engineer or Mud Man on large-diameter pipeline projects
• Strong knowledge of drilling fluid systems and recycling equipment
• Ability to perform fluid testing and interpret results
• EU Work permit and willingness to work in the South of Germany
• Good English communication skills; German is a plus
