Wood is recruiting for a Payroll Accountant to join our team in Equatorial Guinea.

Required to record and maintain Payroll Activities and to assist the Accounting Supervisor in all designated tasks to ensure the Company follows accepted accounting practices within Equatorial Guinea and the United States and maintains proper financial records.

Location: Malabo,Equatorial Guinea

Rotation Work Pattern: TBC but will be on a rotational basis, ether equal time or an extended rotation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

Process National payroll
Prepare calculations and forms for personnel income taxes, Inseso and Protection and Training Funds of Marathon employees as mandated by Law
Prepare calculations of Marathon income taxes and Marathon withholding taxes.
Review outstanding employee receivables relating to payroll activities
Process Local check runs
Clear Manual bank transfers
Prepare monthly accruals
Perform Account Reconciliations
Assist the Accounting Supervisor in ensuring proper accounting procedures as related to the Government
Fill in as needed
Assist in special projects as needed
Support Marathon's Global Performance System (GPS) process by personal involvement in activities to enhance performance in Health, Environment, Safety and Corporate Social Responsibility

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential requirements for this role:

• Several years experience in a similar payroll accountancy position
• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or relevant discipline
• MS Office Suite
• SAP
• Sharepoint Access
• A high level of English language skills, verbal and written
