Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Team Leader - Hydrocarbon Accounting to lead a dynamic team within our Finance and Accounting department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end financial processes, ensuring compliance, driving improvements, and leading transformation initiatives within the Hydrocarbon value chain (HVC). This is a high-impact role where you will collaborate across teams to maintain financial integrity and deliver accurate, timely reports.

We are looking for a Senior Team Leader - Hydrocarbon Accounting to lead a dynamic team within our Finance and Accounting department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end financial processes, ensuring compliance, driving improvements, and leading transformation initiatives within the Hydrocarbon value chain (HVC). This is a high-impact role where you will collaborate across teams to maintain financial integrity and deliver accurate, timely reports.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage a team to ensure the accurate completion of mid-month, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in full compliance with the Group Reporting Manual.
- Provide oversight for global Finance Operations and Cost Accounting support, serving as the point of contact for assigned business partners.
- Ensure compliance with Balance Sheet Integrity, CET controls, payment reports, and CSO reports, safeguarding financial accuracy.
- Monitor document status to ensure smooth operations and support both internal and external audits.
- Manage complex Hydrocarbon Value Chain (HVC) processes, requiring a deep understanding of the entire process from start to finish.
- Drive system transformation projects and lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Foster collaboration across HVC teams by providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and backup support to team leaders and managers.
- Identify risks in supply and inventory processes, propose mitigation strategies, and support the global functional model implementation.
- Serve as the focal point within the Supply & Inventory organization, offering leadership and expert support.
What you will need to be successful:
- Education: Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 6 years' experience in finance or accounting, with a proven track record of leadership in complex environments.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and deliver results on time.
- Technical Competencies:
- Financial and accounting expertise, with a deep understanding of principles and standards.
- Skilled in the application of internal controls and compliance processes.
- Proven experience in performance monitoring and forecasting to meet business objectives.
- Familiarity with IT systems and project management (Awareness level).
- English: B2 (Reading, Writing, Speaking)
