- Edison Works is GE Aerospace's business focused on advanced programs for defense and national security customers. This role is based in Evendale, OH, and leads the Edison Works Program Management Office, partnering closely with engineering, supply chain, finance, and functional leaders to enable program excellence across the portfolio.
Role Overview
- The PMO Leader sets the strategy and operating framework for program planning and scheduling, program operations, proposal development, program execution, and Earned Value Management (EVM). This role develops standard work, builds talent and capabilities, and ensures compliance while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep expertise in program/project management, EVMS compliance, and lean/FLIGHT DECK practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement the PMO strategy, framework, and processes aligned to business goals.
- Align program management practices with GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK operating model and lean principles.
- Develop and deploy the Edison Works Program Management Competency Model; drive strategic growth of the program management discipline.
- Lead continuous improvement to enhance delivery and outcomes across SQDC.
- Governance and Oversight
- Establish governance standards for reporting, risk, issues, and compliance.
- Monitor performance to plan; ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Facilitate decision-making and provide executive-level program status and insights.
- Lead EVMS governance and ensure compliance with U.S. Federal Government requirements.
- Resource Management
- Optimize resource allocation and tools across programs to maximize throughput and effectiveness.
- Partner with HR and functional leaders on staffing, capability building, and skills development.
- Oversee program budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as primary liaison among program teams, senior leadership, customers, and external stakeholders.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and alignment; drive effective communication.
- Address stakeholder concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Performance Metrics
- Define and track KPIs for program success; analyze trends and opportunities.
- Report outcomes and lessons learned; institutionalize best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or Project/Program Management from an accredited institution
- Minimum 10 years of program/project management experience, specifically within defense/military environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Master's degree or PMP certification preferred
