Role OverviewThe Network Architect is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing complex network environments across multiple sites. The role involves translating business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures. Strong analytical skills, deep technical expertise, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture Design & DocumentationPresent complex network environments at various levels of detail—from high-level logical diagrams to detailed configuration schematics—in a way that is understandable to both technical teams and business stakeholders.Prepare clear and well-structured documentation, presentations, and visualizations to support architectural decisions and long-term planning.Analyze physical and logical network configurations, propose optimal solutions, and communicate recommendations in a concise and actionable manner.Technical Analysis & ReviewConduct comprehensive analysis of technical documentation at the low-level design stage, including reviews of existing configurations and operational systems across multiple sites.Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and architectural issues in current network environments and projects.Develop recommendations, propose design improvements, and create missing architectural components in accordance with industry best practices, security standards, and high-availability requirements.Ensure all findings and recommendations are logically justified and documented in clear, accurate reports.Collaboration & SupportSupport the definition of technical requirements for external providers and collaborate with implementation teams as needed.While not responsible for direct implementation, provide guidance and architectural oversight during solution deployment.Communicate effectively with vendors and stakeholders; proficiency in English is required for both documentation and technical discussions.Significant Added ValueIndustrial Networks (OT/ICS) & SecurityExperience in designing or implementing secure remote access solutions for industrial automation networks (OT/ICS), with a strong understanding of IT/OT network separation and security requirements.Ability to architect secure Internet access systems for critical environments, including traffic filtering, content inspection, application control, and integration with monitoring and incident-response platforms.Familiarity with relevant standards and best practices such as IEC 62443 and NIST security frameworks.Vendor Technologies & CertificationsHands-on experience with network and security platforms from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto Networks.Preferred certifications include:Cisco: CCNP Security, CCNP Data Center, CCNP EnterpriseJuniper: JNCIP/JNCIEFortinet: NSE 4-7Cloud networking certifications: AWS or Azure Networking SpecialtyAdvanced knowledge of LAN, WAN, and Data Center design; segmentation mechanisms; QoS; redundancy; and security technologies such as firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, and NAC.
