This Position reports to:

As a Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning on-call service activities on board ships, harbor cranes, and offshore platforms worldwide. The actual service work is carried out by a team of Field Service Engineers, requiring close collaboration and flexibility. This is a challenging, varied, and broad role that definitely doesn't fit a 9-to-5 mindset.
You'll be part of an enthusiastic team that works together to achieve goals, supports each other, and leverages each other's strengths. This position is within the Marine & Ports division, which delivers high-tech products and services to major shipping and offshore companies worldwide, including new builds, retrofits, maintenance projects, and on-call services.

Your responsibilities
- Offering and scheduling service activities
- Coordinating the work of Field Service Engineers, including providing necessary information, documents, and materials-both before and during execution
- Managing complete service administration
- Maintaining global customer contacts
- Collaborating with other ABB Marine Service Centers worldwide
- Participating in the on-call duty roster (once every 6-8 weeks)
- Supporting technical assistance (e.g., calibration of measuring instruments)
What you bring
- MBO or HBO degree with technical affinity
- Service-oriented mindset and ability to empathize with customers and colleagues
- Ability to handle multiple jobs simultaneously, set priorities, and adapt quickly when situations change
- Thrive in a dynamic environment, ensuring smooth processes and optimal planning
- Enjoy solving daily puzzles and achieving maximum efficiency
- Creative yet realistic approach when things don't go as planned, with attention to the commercial aspect of service jobs
- Proactive, results-driven, flexible, customer-focused, and committed to continuous improvement
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Good command of Dutch and English
- Willingness to participate in the on-call duty roster-maritime service is not a 9-to-5 business
