We are currently seeking a Thermal Design Team Lead, to join our Chennai Team, and this position will be directly reporting to Head of Department.

About the mission we offer you:
The Thermal Design Team Lead will be responsible to lead and execute thermal design of heat exchangers using HTRI software. The role involves preparation, review, and approval of process and thermal datasheets, review of licensor heat exchanger datasheets, and development of exchanger design basis, specifications, and design guidelines, manage Pinch/HEN studies, and effectively lead and coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams.

Qualifications / Skills:
- B.E. /B.Tech. /M.E. /M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in Thermal design for process / Chemical /Fertilizers industries and rating of Heat exchangers Shell and tube and Air-Cooled heat exchangers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery & Petrochemicals, Fertilizer Projects, Chemicals EPC
- projects experience will be an added advantage.
- Paper presentations in conferences and international magazines.
- Few years of experience in Process design activities will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.

- Working experience in HTRI & EDR software.
- Working experience in process simulation software - Pro-II & HYSYS.
- Good knowledge of National & International codes & standards like API 660/661/662/663,
- ASME, TEMA, ALPEMA, HEI Standards and NACE.
- Experience in Pinch analysis/HEN studies.
- Heat loss and insulation thickness calculations.
- Familiarity with Statutory requirements like IBR, etc.
- Extensive knowledge about Heat transfer fundamentals, Design methods, calculations and
- applications.
- Familiarity of licensors design standards UOP, Axens, CLG, Topsoe, Saipem, Lummus, Etc.
- Working experience in leading EPC / Licensor companies in India and Abroad.
- Extensive knowledge in vendor drawing review, conflict resolution, etc in EPC execution will
- be an added advantage.
- Recruitment, Development and training of young engineers in Thermal design.
Responsibilities:
- Thermal design of Heat Exchangers using HTRI software.
- Preparation/Checking/Approving of Process and Thermal Datasheet.
- Review of Licensor Heat exchanger datasheets.
- Development of Exchanger Design basis, specification, Design guides & working instructions
- Review/Checking/Approval of Heat exchanger Vendor Documents and Drawings.
- Ability to perform/guide/approve technical evaluations of vendor offer for all heat exchanger types.
- Lead the team for Pinch/HEN studies
- Ability to effectively manage team members and other engineering disciplines.
