Preface

We are seeking an experienced SAP Support Specialist to provide comprehensive support for SAP systems in an oil and gas operational site environment. The role is based at the Majnoon Oil Field, Iraq, and requires strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth SAP operations.

Professional Summary

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of SAP experience, with a focus on user support, troubleshooting, and system monitoring. The candidate should be fluent in English, preferably an Iraqi national, and possess a solid understanding of oil and gas operational processes. Knowledge of Chinese language is an added advantage.

Professional Experience

• Provide day-to-day SAP support for site-based oil and gas activities.

• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.

• Assist users with SAP transactions and processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Monitor SAP system performance and report anomalies to the SAP Operations Manager.

• Collaborate with SAP Operations Manager and corporate IT teams for escalated issues.

• Maintain documentation of support activities and resolutions for compliance purposes.

• Participate in system upgrades and testing activities as required.

• Train and guide end-users on SAP best practices and new functionalities.

• Ensure adherence to company standards and data security protocols.

• Support integration of SAP with other site systems and third-party applications.

Certifications

• SAP Certified Application Associate (preferred)

• ITIL Foundation (advantageous)

• Oil & Gas Industry Safety Certifications (preferred)

Technical Skills

• SAP ECC / S/4HANA Support

• SAP Modules: MM, PM, FI/CO

• Basic Database Management (Oracle, HANA)

• System Monitoring Tools

• Basic Networking Knowledge

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Arabic: Native

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Resolve SAP-related issues within SLA (e.g., 4 hours for critical issues).

• Maintain SAP system uptime of 99.9% or higher.

• Ensure 100% compliance with company data security and operational standards.

• Deliver monthly support and performance reports on time.

• Achieve user satisfaction score of 90% or higher for support services.

Reporting Structure

• Reports directly to the SAP Operations Manager.

• Collaborates closely with site operations teams for SAP-related requirements.

• Coordinates with Corporate SAP teams for escalations and system updates.
