We are looking for a proactive Business Developer to lead the development of biogas projects in Denmark. This role is pivotal to advancing our renewable energy strategy and driving sustainable growth in a key market. You will manage projects from early concept through Final Investment Decision (FID), ensuring commercial viability and alignment with strategic objectives.

What is the role

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading biogas project opportunities in Denmark to deliver commercially viable solutions.
• Progressing projects from initial identification through to FID.
• Building and maintaining relationships with feedstock providers near proposed project sites.
• Owning the business case and P&L for each project.
• Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation plans.
• Developing a strong understanding of Shell's value chain and collaborating across multiple business units.
• Traveling frequently across Denmark to engage stakeholders, as projects may be located anywhere in the country.

What we need from you

• Strong project management skills, ideally supported by formal training and at least one year of experience leading complex projects.
• Solid financial understanding of business case development (modeling support provided by economists).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels-from corporate executives to local farmers.
• Strong written communication skills and a commitment to documenting decisions and progress for transparency and quality.
• A collaborative mindset to coordinate work across multiple business lines.
• Commercial acumen to ensure profitability, negotiate with external parties, and evaluate project scopes.
• Ability to work independently within a small, supportive team environment.
• Fluency in Danish for local stakeholder engagement and fluency in English for internal communication.
• Knowledge of biogas projects and technology is an advantage but not essential.
• Experience in stakeholder management and relationship building is a plus.
