Hydro Testing Foreman
Mission:
• Coordinate and control the work of the dependent team to ensure the hydrotest activities are carried out respecting approved hydrotest procedures
• Plan and implement the distribution of tools and equipment to allow the crew to perform the assigned activities
• Ensure total compliance with safety and quality procedures and standards
Tasks:
• Coordinate and check the work carried out by personnel, reporting any deviations and difficulties to the works supervisor
• Ensure that all personnel belonging to the team strictly observe applicable safety standards
• Ensure th at the works are carried out in accordance with the project quality requirements and approved hydrotest procedures
• Analyze the hydrotest procedures and documentation received from the works supervisor and give instructions to th e personnel in order to execute the works in accordance
• Organize all the means, equipment and materials necessary to perform the work. Check that they comply with applicable provisions, report any anomalies and coordinate any corrective actions
• Liaise with the works supervisor in order to optimize the use of equipment on Site
• Carry out the daily toolbox talkings
• Ensure adherence to the planned time frame
• Ensure that any modification from the approved procedure occurred during the hydrotest is duly tracked on the relevant documentation with description of the generating causes, in order to allow the approval of the hydrotest
• Provide the works supervisor with updating progress reports
• Implement the permit-to-work system
• Liaise with other disciplines on ongoing operations
• Ensure housekeeping of the work location
Qualifications and Experience:
* Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade certification.
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a mechanic for pumps, compressors, and dryers in oil & gas or pipeline pre-commissioning projects. With Hands-on experience with operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing of:
Ø Centrifugal Pumps (e.g., Caprari 500m³/hr with CAT C27 Acer engine or similar),
Ø HP Piston Pumps (e.g., MIDIS/Woma 550 ARP with CAT C18 Acer or similar),
Ø Diesel Generators (e.g., Atlas Copco with Perkins 1104C engine or similar),
Ø Air Compressors (e.g., Atlas Copco XRYS 1260 CD7 or similar),
Ø Desiccant Air Dryers (Twin-pot, 1600 scfm+).
* Good understanding of mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safe work practices.
* Ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings.
* Physically fit for onshore site conditions.
* Good communication in English language and teamwork skills.
