The Manufacturing Welder is responsible for weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to drawings, specifications, and other forms of instruction.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.
  • Perform Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) with precision and consistency.
  • Weld and assemble valves and flanges, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and structural integrity.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, and grind component parts.
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment and materials.
  • Examine work for defects and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.

Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preference for one-year certificate from technical school or college.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (flux core) welding techniques.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States without sponsorship.
