This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)
We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient M&A CFIN Architect to lead the design, integration, and optimization of finance solutions within the Central Finance (CFIN) landscape. This role is responsible for supporting any new company code, mergers, acquisitions, and divestments by ensuring that acquired entities are efficiently integrated into the target CFIN architecture in alignment with business objectives.
This position requires close coordination with Deployment team, Functional architects and external vendors, to maintain and evolve the CFIN M&A Solution Lead, ensuring it meets business needs and complies with ABB's standards.

This role is contributing to the Finance Services business Finance Process Data Systems division in Bangalore, India.

This role is contributing to the Finance Services business Finance Process Data Systems division in Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- M&A Solution Design & Validation: Review and validate the design of CFIN finance and integration solutions supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestments within the CFIN framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives, integration strategies, and technical requirements.
- Ownership of M&A Architecture: Define, document, and own the end-to-end M&A integration architecture within the CFIN ecosystem, including finance processes, data flows, technical components, and integrations with SAP and non-SAP applications.
- Maintain Integration Roadmap: Maintain and evolve the target-state M&A and CFIN integration roadmap, documenting architectural decisions, dependencies, risks, and impacts on the broader enterprise architecture.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with CFIN solution teams, IS architects, M&A IS leads, vendors, and business stakeholders (Finance, Tax, Controlling, Data, and Systems Finance teams) to plan and execute integration and separation activities while ensuring business continuity.
- Business & Process Alignment: Partner with Global Process Owners, and M&A workstreams to define standardized, scalable finance solutions that support rapid onboarding, carve-outs, and harmonization in line with the best global practices.
- Automation & Enablement: Drive the adoption of testing automation and accelerators to support M&A activities such as data migration, legal entity setup, intercompany processing, and financial reporting within the CFIN landscape.
- Requirements Validation: Support the validation of business, functional, and technical requirements with M&A workstream leads, Process Owners, FPDS, and Technical Leads, ensuring responsibilities are clearly allocated across systems and technologies.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all M&A-related solutions, integrations, and delivery activities comply with ABB internal standards, security policies, data governance requirements, and external regulatory obligations.
- Continuous Improvement & Expertise: Build and maintain deep expertise in M&A finance integration and CFIN capabilities, staying current on SAP S/4HANA, Central Finance best practices, and M&A integration methodologies to continuously improve execution and outcomes.
Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
Background & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in SAP S/4HANA, SAP CFIN, or IT architecture.
- 10-15+ years of experience as an CFIN Finance Architect, or similar role, with strong hands-on experience in mergers, acquisitions, and divestments, including finance systems integration and separation activities.
- Deep expertise in SAP Central Finance (CFIN), SAP S/4HANA Finance, and related ERP platforms, with practical experience integrating acquired entities, harmonizing finance processes
- Proven experience in M&A integration capabilities, such as data migration, Testing Automation, legal entity setup, intercompany processing, and transitional service arrangements (TSA).
- Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Tax, Treasury) as they relate to M&A integration and carve-out scenarios.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate between different stakeholders, including business leaders, technical teams, and external partners.
- A strong focus on continuous improvement and automation, with a passion for driving innovation within enterprise systems.
- Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and third-party service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
