This Position reports to:
Business Manager - E2E
We are looking for a Portfolio manager to lead the Product Management function in our Business Line China. This is a high impact senior role requiring an independent, business focused person to lead senior professionals with direct authority. You will be responsible for creating and driving the implementation of an offering strategy to align with and support the relevant business strategy.
You will lead a diverse team comprised of Product managers for both local and global product offerings as well as Product Market managers aligned to support sales growth in China market. Driving the allocation of resources across the portfolio of product lines, in collaboration with other relevant functions, most notably R&D to ensure that each product line has the capability to execute its own strategic plans. Also, monitoring the offering portfolio to ensure that a healthy mix and vitality is maintained.
You will report directly to the Motion Drive Products China Business Line leader with dotted line to the Division head of Global Product management.

Your role and responsibilities:
- Create and drive implementation of the offering strategy to support the business strategy based on the respective strategic objectives
- Contributes to defining the business strategy and translates it into the offering and solution portfolio strategy.
- Supports Product Management team by providing the necessary infrastructure for the optimal execution of core tasks like business and performances tracking, market intelligence, roadmap planning, lifecycle management, etc.
- Analyzes the content of the portfolio continuously, with a focus on new potential product lines.
- Drives decision making process for offering business plans, and on possible partnering approaches and approved pricing models.
- Involved in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), partnership activities, defining the brand, offering portfolio, and related business strategy.
- Drives innovation in the team with a strong customer orientation, exploring opportunities along the full customer/user journey and considering all touch points.
- Drive excellence in Product Management functions by continuous development of people and processes and lead Product Management organization in line with the ABB Product Management framework.

Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelors in software engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or related work experience.
- Proven experience in leading Product management teams and organizations
- Strong understanding of Drives, Servos, PLCs, IPC, and automation systems.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
