Construction Engineer- Electrical/Instrument

Construction Manager

Purpose of Position:

To compile information for the Engineering (Construction) Packages so they meet the planned project schedule and other project specifications on development of Electrical & Instrument relative WPKs

Generate and produce Engineering (Construction) Work Packages (Electrical & Instrument).

Preparation and execution of Construction related aspects of the project inclusive of associated vendors and sub-contractors

KEY Accountabilities Of Position:

• To define the construction deliverables (E&I) and assist in setting up, populating and maintaining the database.

• To index and maintain files for all original quality documentation. To monitor contractors performance and if necessary to support the supervision efforts by coordinating the compilation of all necessary quality documentation for the project.
• Gather documentation including the timely release of work such as E&I equipment installation and earthing and release for work packs, etc...
• To coordinate on a day to day basis with the Construction and Design Engineering group, to identify detailed requirements and negotiate exception items for acceptance of the systems.
• To update status of packages and to provide progress and status reports as required.
• To compile the system turnover dossiers in the required format .

Performance Management

• Support development, management and administration of project management systems in response to project and customer expectations.
• Support construction, commissioning and quality teams on all projects throughout the phases.

• The role will be interactive reporting through the Construction Manager and the Commissioning Manager during the project phases.

Experience:

Required:

• Proven experience in a project Construction, Completions / Commissioning role or closely related fields of close-out coordination, completions and/or commissioning management.
• Understanding of the principles and practices of construction engineering, the implementation and improvement.

Guide:

• 5 plus years industry experience in construction engineering experience, including project certification, and/or closely related integrity management.
• 7 to 10 years brownfield mods, Pre FEED/FEED, offshore experience

Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

• A recognized degree or equivalent qualification.

Preferred:

• Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant discipline; management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent experience.
