Vendor execution manager role is responsible for acting as a dedicated procurement resource, partnering, and supporting our Technical Solutions hub and handling key strategic supplier relationships. This role is responsible for ensuring robust delivery and execution of evolutionary strategies, based on supply market expertise, and partnering on current and future business needs. This position will work closely with all business lines and Partnering with the bp TSI (Technical Solutions India) leadership table.
Shift hours: 12:30 - 21:30 (IST)
Flexible to accommodate global time zones and business-critical meetings.

Key Accountabilities
Vendor & Interested party Management
- Lead vendor relationships for sophisticated engineering service contracts and dynamic programs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to engineering collaborators, ensuring alignment of procurement strategies with technical requirements.
- Drive supplier innovation, mitigate risk, and champion diversity and sustainability initiatives.
- Conduct regular business reviews and performance evaluations, ensuring adherence to critical metrics and continuous improvement.
- Manage multiple internal and external collaborators including buyers, engineering scope owners, and vendors, balancing priorities effectively.
- Handle critical issues transparently and decisively, ensuring timely resolution while maintaining trust integrity.
- Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and empathy, fostering collaboration and alignment.
Procurement Strategy & Execution
- Vetting the incoming demand from business and assigning the source of supply based on sourcing strategy.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for engineering services.
- Ensure timely execution of procurement activities including sourcing, contracting, onboarding, and compliance monitoring.
- Perform market analysis, due diligence, and risk assessments to optimize supplier performance and value delivery.
- Introducing digital tools and automation to enhance procurement processes and reporting.
- Collaborate and engage with FBT procurement operations on regular basis for topics related to POs, invoice exceptions, payments, helpdesk support.
Governance & Standardization
- Driving and supporting the vendor's monthly and quarterly performance reviews by collaborating with contract account managers, supplier account managers, business integrators and supplier delivery leaders.
- Establish and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and standardized templates for contracts and KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with bp's ethical standards, legal requirements, and data privacy regulations.
- Support global strategy development and regional implementation, driving cost efficiency and sustainability.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with bpTSI leadership, rigor leads and global procurement teams to influence category strategies.
- Provide support to the sourcing team on topics related to legal terminology, contract interpretation and risk mitigation along with value proposition.
- Demonstrate strong conflict resolution skills, ensuring constructive outcomes in sophisticated customer scenarios.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and wellbeing.

- Assist sourcing and contracts vertically in generating sophisticated contracts/call offs and agreements including interpretation of contract requirements, contract administration, risk management, change management, conflict resolution, and delivery and payment for products.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, supply chain management, Technical or an equivalent for role fulfilment
- 15-18 years overall experience, with minimum 8-10 years of procurement and category management experience (preferably engineering services)
- Proven expertise in managing service contracts, critical metrics, supplier performance and governance.
- Strong understanding of legal and commercial aspects of contracts.
- Experience in oil & gas industry procurement and vendor base preferred.
- Solid understanding of procurement tools/systems including S/4HANA, SAP SRM, Ariba, and Salesforce.
- Experience of working cross culturally and in an international environment
- Experience in using ERP, advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint Presentations
