This Position reports to:
IS Service Owner - ServIS

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to own software solution architecture across multiple architecture categories and ensure its alignment with enterprise and data architecture standards. Each day, you will be responsible for the design and build, integrity, and quality of an Information Systems (IS) solution and associated IS services delivered to business. You will also showcase your expertise by consulting, advising, and supporting on the installation of new IS solutions/services, or changing existing IS solutions/services.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Design cutting-edge IT solutions that align with business needs and meet quality standards in a global production environment.
• Serve as technical authority for solution architecture, making critical implementation decisions and ensuring seamless integrations.
• Resolve technical challenges during delivery and problem management to ensure smooth solution implementation.
• Mentor and guide technical teams by sharing best practices and ensuring effective use of application standards.
• Explore emerging technologies and industry practices to bring innovative solutions that position ABB as a technology leader.
• Create and cooperate on technical specifications to ensure alignment with business requirements and architectural standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to transform requirements into cost-efficient solutions that drive value and operational excellence.
• Partner with diverse stakeholders across ABB to achieve common goals and exemplify teamwork excellence.

Qualifications for the role

• 5+ years of proven strong proficiency in database technologies, including performance tuning and schema design
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing solutions across both modern, cloud-native architectures and legacy systems
• Solid business understanding and the ability to learn new technologies and respond to changing business requirements
• Excellent communication skills enabling collaboration with global business stakeholders
• IT background through education or hands-on experience
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
