This role is to support the business performance management for Lubricants Supply Chain (LSC) business for Philippines and Malaysia, besides performing the financial planning and forecasting, reporting, and analytical activities.
This role currently reports directly into the R&A APAC LSC Lead. This role is expected to work independently with the Country Finance-in-the-Business (FitB) and be the business partner to various stakeholders in the country e.g. Hub Manager, Plant Manager, Logistics Manager and Planning Manager.
LSC is the manufacturing and supply support function for Lubricants business, one of the major Downstream businesses in Shell.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly financial reporting and analysis (operating expenses and margin) and provide actionable insights on key drivers causing the variances to business
- Deep-dive on Opex and COGS spend and provide required cost transparency and insights to budget-holders to sharpen the cost requirements
- Support World Class Close by pro-actively actioning on monthly financial validation as part of month-end activity
- Support Sales & Marketing (S&M) teams in their pricing decision by creating cost transparency and regularly update on any changes required to LSC tariff rates as well as on any costs pass back required to S&M and other class of businesses (Marine, Aviation, Mobility)
- Delivery of Planning, Appraisal and Reporting accountabilities which include monthly appraisal of actuals performance against Plan and LE, Quarterly LE exercise, and Annual Target Planning exercise
- Prepare monthly business performance summary and present with insights in monthly performance review meetings
- Drive planning & forecasting process in efficient and proactive ways to ensure Finance provide realistic estimates and to meet latest estimate and planning accuracy (<5% variance)
- Involve in Blackline account reconciliation and Manual Journal Entries (MJE) posting and ensure that MJE posted are compliant
Skills & Requirements:
The candidate requires strong financial knowledge, good communication and exceptional business partnering skills to be able to build effective working relationships with the business stakeholders especially in a virtual environment.
- Strong financial background - familiar with financial standards, strong financial accounting and reporting knowledge
- Qualified / Part qualified Accountant (CA/ICWA/CIMA/ACCA/MBA) with up to 5 years of post-qualification experience
- Working knowledge of GSAP, Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Good stakeholder management skills, capable to maintain good relationship despite challenges
- Capable to manage conflicting priorities and multiple stakeholders demands, including frequent unexpected challenges / ad-hoc requests from leadership team
