Your role and responsibilities
You will be a part of a 24-month rotational program. Different rotations focused on developing inside sales, marketing, leaderships skills and ABB product knowledge.
You will complete the rotational program with Electrification Service business group. Based on ABB Group's leading technology and rich service experience, it is committed to providing users with life-cycle support services for electrification equipment of the users. Business types include 11 service categories such as Installation and commissioning, Training, Spare parts, Maintenance, Repairs, Engineering & Consulting, Advanced services, Extension, upgrades & retrofits, End of life service, Replacement and Service agreements, to meet the needs of the users in the whole process from equipment installation, operation and maintenance to decommissioning. This global programming is designed for early talent training, personal and professional growth, and networking. A program manager will be there to support you throughout your journey.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the EL Service division in China.

This role is contributing to the EL Service division in China.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Penetrates into IB, promotes various upgrade, retrofit, and value-add solutions to the benefit of the customer(s) and ABB. Understands the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices and prepares sales plan, reviews them, and proposes recovery plan(s) when needed. Utilizes IB database to understand the existing IB and identifies and develops sales opportunities for service products and solutions to penetrate the existing IB or new IBs in the market.
- Focus on the entire service portfolio to secure profit for assigned business / product groups. Generates service sales leads and develops new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information and through identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios. Sells entire service product portfolio to expand ABB footprint in the designated area(s). Acts as a marketer/salesperson of ABB's service products and solutions during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).
- Translates the needs of customers into relevant ABB Service offerings and solutions. Establishes long-term customer relationships by understanding their requirements and applicable regulations and by demonstrating in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM). Documents of customer feedback and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Updates IB in the Service database regularly with the changes made at site. Contributes to risk assessments related to price and quality. Registers required information in the appropriate customer database. Plans and performs the right number of weekly sales visits and reports them on CRM. Reports leads/opportunities, manages, and updates pipeline in CRM. Updates and monitors sales proposals and tenders and follows-up on proposal statistics. Communicates contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy and manages administrative sales processes.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Electric & Automation related
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
- Strong Market and Business know-how
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities
