We are seeking a motivated Graduate Data Scientist to join our Subsurface Team at TotalEnergies EP Malaysia. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in managing E&P subsurface data, developing advanced algorithms, and supporting digital transformation initiatives to optimize reservoir surveillance and production performance.

Activities

Your Impact

As a key contributor to the Subsurface Team, you will:

• Manage the lifecycle of exploration and production subsurface data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity.
• Provide application and data support for E&P systems, including data loading and knowledge management.
• Develop advanced algorithms and machine learning/statistical models to process large datasets for reservoir and production optimization.
• Maintain workflows, standards, and best practices for data governance and regulatory compliance.
• Implement dashboards and visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, webGIS) to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in data analytics and apply them to exploration and production challenges.

Candidate Profile

What We Are Looking For

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields with CGPA 3.5 or higher.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in data analytics or related roles (fresh graduates are welcome).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and programming skills.
• Familiarity with BI tools, data visualization, and machine learning techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; fluent in English.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.
