About the Role

As a Senior Engineer, Mechanical Package, you will take responsibility for mechanical and multidisciplinary equipment packages in new and ongoing projects within the offshore oil & gas and offshore renewable energy sectors.

In this role, you will act as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE), with ownership of technical requirements, supplier interfaces, and delivery follow-up from specification through fabrication and testing. You will work closely with project teams, procurement, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure high-quality, cost-effective solutions delivered in accordance with project requirements.

The position offers a varied and hands-on engineering role, combining technical leadership, supplier interaction, and cross-disciplinary collaboration in an international project environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for multidisciplinary equipment packages
  • Establish technical specifications in accordance with project requirements
  • Participate in bid evaluations and supplier selection together with procurement
  • Perform technical follow-up of suppliers, including fabrication and testing
  • Review and approve supplier documentation related to procurement and fabrication
  • Report and communicate according to project-defined routines
  • Participate in work across other disciplines and provide input to overall system design
  • Perform other relevant tasks based on project requirements


Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Mechatronics
    • Hydraulics
    • or equivalent discipline
  • Vocational technical college


Experience & Personal Qualities

  • Experience as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) is preferred
  • Experience from the offshore industry is preferred
  • Experience with steel structure fabrication follow-up is an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Cooperative working attitude and ability to work in multicultural teams
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Systematic, accurate, and quality-oriented
  • High commitment to deadlines and quality requirements
  • Proactive mindset; willing to seek advice and share experience
  • Good Norwegian and English skills, both written and spoken
