Job Description Summary

We're hiring for a Planning Specialist for our site in Bucharest to help turn demand into actionable schedules, keep materials flowing, and drive on-time delivery.

In this role you'll build realistic production schedules, ensure materials are ready when needed, and keep teams aligned to deliver on-time, every time.
You'll anticipate constraints, run what-if scenarios, and partner with Operations, Sourcing, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics to keep work moving safely and efficient.

If you have a background in supply chain and are looking for your next challenge we'd love to hear from you.

Job Description

  • Create and maintain master production schedules aligned to customer demand, capacity, and inventory targets
  • Balance constraints (capacity, materials, lead times, yields) to optimise throughput and on-time delivery
  • Run scenario analyses and recommend plan changes to address demand variability
  • Execute MRP to ensure timely procurement and availability of components and raw materials
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, min/max, BOMs)
  • Convert master schedules to finite production schedules; sequence work orders to maximize flow
  • Monitor shop floor progress, resolve constraints, and drive recovery plans to protect customer commits
  • Facilitate daily/weekly tier meetings to communicate priorities and risks
  • Control WIP and FG inventory to targets; reduce excess and obsolescence
  • Track and improve planning health metrics (schedule adherence, plan stability, inventory turns)
  • Partner with Operations, Sourcing, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Finance to align plans with realities
  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes with integrated ramp and cut-in plans
  • Communicate plan changes, risks, and mitigations to stakeholders and leadership
  • Identify and execute improvements in planning processes, system usage, and data quality
  • Maintain master data accuracy; drive root cause and corrective actions for plan misses

Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • Good experience in production planning, materials planning, or supply chain (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and good working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with lean principles, standard work, and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of BOM structures, routings, and capacity modelling
  • Experience within aerospace or other highly regulated industry
  • On-Time Delivery to Customer/Promise
  • Results orientation with strong follow-through
