CCL Global are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer – Oil & Gas to join an established upstream energy operator operating in the Middle East.

This role will play a key technical leadership function across onshore oil & gas projects, supporting full lifecycle delivery from concept through to commissioning and handover.

Permanent / Rotational (28 x 28) – Office & Field Based

Key You

• Acting as the technical focal point for assigned projects across all phases of execution.
• Supporting the Project Manager and Projects & Engineering Manager in all aspects of project delivery.
• Leading the development of project scopes of work, technical documentation, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Managing select projects through concept definition, FEED, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
• Developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and technical change control.
• Providing mechanical engineering expertise across project-specific and departmental activities.
• Managing and coordinating external engineering contractors to deliver allocated scopes.
• Collaborating with internal engineering, operations, construction, procurement, and supply chain teams.
• Liaising closely with site construction teams to support safe and efficient execution.
• Supporting the development of commissioning and handover plans.
• Training and mentoring local engineering staff as required.

Represent

• Ensuring effective communication with internal stakeholders and senior management.
• Driving engineering best practices, safety, and quality standards across all projects.
• Supporting operational readiness and long-term asset integrity.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Member of an internationally recognized Professional Engineering Association.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Project Engineering role within onshore oil & gas projects for an E&P Operator.
• Middle East project experience is essential; experience in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq is a strong advantage.
• Proven leadership capability with strong team collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior management.
