JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support HSE management through compliance reviews, risk assessments, and safety evaluations.
  • Maintain HSE logs, reports, and required documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist with compliance to OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
  • Participate in incident investigations and support corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide HSE guidance and recommendations to facility leadership and employees.
  • Assist in developing, delivering, and tracking HSE training programs.
  • Promote safe work practices, identify hazards, and ensure immediate corrective action.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of HSE policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Coordinate waste handling, storage, documentation, and disposal with approved vendors.
  • Maintain working relationships with regulatory agencies and internal department leaders.
  • Stay current on HSE legislation, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Comply with all NOV company, quality, and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and work night shifts as required.


Job Duties:

  • Work primarily on the manufacturing floor (approximately 80%) with limited night supervision.
  • Exposure to forklifts, drill pipe movement, and heavy manufacturing equipment.
  • Work around forging machines, welders, heat treat furnaces, presses, pits, and elevated surfaces.
  • Exposure to loud noise and varying temperatures based on facility and weather conditions.
  • Perform office-based work approximately 20% of the time.
  • Travel to multiple facilities as needed to support HSE oversight.


Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or certified training in Health, Safety, or Environmental field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HSE experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations, and industry standards (NFPA, ASME, ANSI).
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 preferred.
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED training or instructor certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Mechanical aptitude and prior shop or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Spanish bilingual skills preferred but not required.
