Role Summary
As a Data Analyst in the energy sector, you will leverage data-driven insights to optimize operations, improve asset performance, and support strategic decisions across industrial energy projects. Your work will focus on analyzing data from power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, as well as renewable energy assets.

Role Summary
As a Data Analyst in the energy sector, you will leverage data-driven insights to optimize operations, improve asset performance, and support strategic decisions across industrial energy projects. Your work will focus on analyzing data from power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, as well as renewable energy assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Acquisition & Integration
- Collect and process data from energy systems (SCADA, DCS, IoT sensors, smart meters).
- Integrate data from multiple sources including ERP, CMMS, and energy management systems
- Analytics & Modeling
- Perform trend analysis, load forecasting, and predictive maintenance modeling.
- Develop algorithms for energy efficiency optimization and cost reduction.
- Visualization & Reporting
- Create dashboards for KPIs such as energy output, efficiency, downtime, and emissions.
- Present actionable insights to engineering, operations, and management teams.
- Performance Monitoring
- Track asset health and reliability metrics for turbines, generators, and transformers.
- Support root cause analysis for outages and performance anomalies.
- Compliance & Sustainability

- Ensure data accuracy for regulatory reporting and sustainability initiatives.
- Support ESG reporting and carbon footprint analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data analytics within energy or industrial environments.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with SCADA/DCS systems and energy data protocols (OPC-UA, IEC 61850).
- Strong statistical and forecasting skills (time-series analysis, regression).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Energy Analytics or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience with renewable energy data (solar, wind) and grid analytics.
- Knowledge of energy market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure IoT, AWS Energy Data Services).
