The role will focus primarily on the WTG scope and reports directly to the Lead Senior Authorised Person.The Senior Authorised Person (66kV) will be responsible for the safe control, switching, isolation, commissioning, and energisation of 66kV electrical systems across Offshore Substations (OSS) and Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), ensuring strict compliance with Electrical Safety Rules at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesCommissioning & EnergisationAct as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) in control of worksPerform and facilitate HV/LV switching, isolations, LOTO, and energisationAct as SAP prior to, during, and post 240-hour testingFacilitate HV array cable testingIssue, control, and approve electrical safety documentationAct as 66kV SAP on OSS platforms as requiredWitness critical installation activities, including cable terminationsSupport WTG maintenance activities and perform switchingElectrical Safety & CoordinationEnsure compliance with Project Electrical Safety RulesLead and promote a strong electrical safety culture across OSS and WTG scopesReview and approve RAMS, switching schedules, and safety documentationCoordinate with HV Control, O&M teams, and contractorsEnsure effective handover between shiftsParticipate in audits, inspections, and walk-downsReport progress of offshore works to the Project Control RoomLeadership & General DutiesDeliver training and mentoring for Authorised and Competent PersonsParticipate in project authorisation processesExecute works safely, on time, and with minimal delaysMaintain accurate records, progress reports, and lessons learnedRequirements & ExperienceProven experience as a Senior Authorised Person at 66kVStrong background in HV commissioning and offshore wind operationsExtensive experience working under Electrical Safety RulesCompetent in safety documentation, switching schedules, and HV regulationsPrevious offshore authorisations at 66kVStrong leadership, communication, and coordination skillsFluent English is mandatoryWhat's on OfferLong-term offshore wind project14/14 rotationOpportunity to work on a high-profile offshore wind developmentSafety-driven environment with an experienced project teamApplyIf you are an experienced Senior Authorised Person (66kV) looking for your next offshore wind opportunity, apply now through Spencer Ogden.
