Overview
As part of Candu International Engineering Services at Candu Energy, we are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a dynamic portfolio of international projects. Reporting to the Director, this role is integral to ensuring the successful execution of engineering services for our global CANDU fleet. The Project Manager will be accountable for all aspects of project delivery, including team leadership, performance tracking through KPIs, management of deliverables, organizational structure, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor and supplier strategy, risk management, and forecasting through People Forecasting and Levelling (PFL). A key responsibility of this role is the day-to-day and career development of junior project team members, fostering individual growth while driving project and business success.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in project execution methodologies, with a solid foundation in engineering, procurement, construction, contract management, and project controls. As a core member of our expanding Engineering Services team, the Project Manager will play a critical role in shaping the trajectory of our international programs, ensuring effective governance, milestone achievement, stakeholder engagement, and accountability for project baselines and change management.

Your role
- Responsible for the safe delivery of the project to agreed schedule, budget, scope, and quality and is responsible for the safety and welfare of staff working on the project.
- Responsible for the successful technical and commercial delivery of the project in accordance with AtkinsRéalis governance requirements.
- Providing bid phase support as a Bid Manager on medium to small projects.
- Delivery of project management and contract administration throughout the project life cycle.
- Ensuring that there is a common understanding of requirements and scope, schedule, costs, constraints, risk and interfaces across the team.
- Leading the project team - building, motivating, maintaining, coaching, guiding, and developing the team.
- Communicating, liaising, and engaging with clients on a project-by-project basis.
- Deliver governance arrangements for projects within corporate and business policies, directives, guidance, and procedures to ensure a robust outcome.
- Manage approved sub-contractor procurement processes.
- Cognisant delivery of projects and tasks in accordance with the AtkinsRéalis Values; Safety, Integrity, Collaboration, and Innovation.
About you
- Engineering degree with 5-years project management experience preferable.
- Understands and has experience in capital assets management project for Nuclear Power Plants.
- Experience of working closely with multi-disciplinary design teams.
- The ability to understand clients' requirements.
- Ability to lead a delivery team in a positive and confident manner, demonstrating an appropriate level of knowledge, skills, and attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills combined with sound business acumen and strong risk/commercial awareness to deliver profits.
- An aptitude towards work winning through strong service delivery and understanding of bid process and different pricing models.
- Demonstrates a proactive and flexible working attitude, is adaptable and responds positively in response to challenges.
