Context & Environment

The Tilenga oilfields are partly situated in a protected National Park, partly beneath the river Nile wetlands area, and within densely populated area in a rural and remote part of Uganda. Activities exposed to the risk of major incidents with severe

potential consequences due to local environment and important presence of NGO's. Factory Drilling with a well delivered every 4 days using 3 drilling rigs simultaneously will necessitate standardization of equipment and procedures, strict enforcement of Drilling & Well instructions, safe and efficient logistic management on site. The project is focused on delivering the lowest possible cost, which requires challenging TotalEnergies design concepts as well as substantially challenging the TotalEnergies referential. Multicultural environment: Contractors are anticipated to be located in various parts of the world. Ugandan rules and regulations, administrative requirements and technical authorizations as well as International codes for onshore plant will apply. The project is aiming for FID end 2020 with a start of drilling operations circa Q2 2022 and a Ready For Start-up (RFSU) target 45-50 months after FID.

Activities

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

HSE

• Adopt and Demonstrate exemplary behavior with regards to HSEQ rules, Company Ethics & " Code of Conduct Policy.
• Participate and assist in the development & implementation of Environmental and Energy Management System.;
• Apply company rules regarding safety of wells, prepare and follow up all well derogation/waiver.
• Ensure data confidentiality regarding wells and production profiles of the Area.
• Assist Integrity Engineer in following wells integrity.
• Drilling & Start-up / Ramp-up Period : ESP Management.
• In collaboration with drilling / completion, Field Ops start-up manager and Well Perf teams optimize and guarantee the ESP efficiency and MTTF continuous improvement.
• Productivity determination: from petrophysical parameter evaluation after each well being drilled, evaluate the well's productivity.
• ESP Selection: Pump / motor - Gas handling system - Surface equipment.
• ESP Implementation and Pre-Commissioning: Spin test procedure & implementation
• Ramp-up Period & Production Plateau: ESP Management.
• In collaboration with dedicated Well Perf Team and ESP contractors
• Supervise the wells ramp-up at 1st oil till reaching an optimized PI on each well + validate the ramp-up of the other Well Perf Eng. supervising other wells.
• Continuous Trouble shooting, Failure cause analysis - Post Mortem.

Corrective actions.

• During production plateau: Follow the performance of the affiliate in terms of deliverable production.
• Contribute to reach the production objectives of the affiliate.
• Propose and/or participate actively to high technological added value studies to increase production or lower the shortfalls.
• Monitor the follow-up of these projects and their implementation in the affiliate on schedule according to HSE rules.
• Support the well perf engineers about management of medium, long terms projects.
• Take the leadership about big development projects.
• Propose if required an expertise on activation mode conversion.
• Follow-up of the affiliates wells interventions portfolio.
• Update the list of proposed wells interventions and follow-up on files
• Estimate the production potential associated to these interventions.
• Follow-up the interventions and take action with the management to consolidate the realizations of the WI.

Technological survey

• Follow-up last developments about R&D on well's productivity.
• Ensure efficient coordination and implementation of Digital Oil Field, follow-up and optimization in real time of the production.
• Be the interlocutor of POP project for the affiliate.

Coaching

• Develop and implement the required methodology to improve the quality and the efficiency of the studies made by the Well Performance engineers within the subsidiary.

Wells Integrity

• In collaboration with Integrity Engineer, Well Perf and Field Ops Teams implement a well Integrity management.
• Sand & Deposit Management Integrity Monitoring.
• Wells & Network interventions.

Digital & Data Management

• Implementation of digital solution DOF.
• Write and present to PETEX Eng. SOR about all the specific workflows of TILENGA.

Management / Methods / Coaching / Interfaces

• In collaboration of the Well Perf Team leader participate during the first phase of the project to set-up a Well Performance roadmap.
• Active participation to Well Performance multidisciplinary activities.
• Participate and assist in the development & implementation of digital solution and adequate well performance data management system
• Junior Coaching and applying Well Performances best practices
• Ensure efficient and proactive interface with other Tilenga entities involve in the Production Performance Optimization objectives.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

• Petroleum Industry MSc (or equivalent professional experience).
• At least 10 years as reservoir or D&W or FO engineer plus 10 years as a WP engineer.
• International experience in O&G EP positions with minimum 2 positions as Well Performance Method or Team Leader.
• Important sense of initiative, innovation, analysis and synthesis (to be able to diagnose any issue occurring in a well's life).
• Perseverance (data collection), methodology (verification of input data).
• A exemplary written (technical reports) and oral communication (presentation)
• A perfect control of data-processing tool and analytical technics about productivity of wells.
