The Climate Resilience, Sustainability, Air and Acoustics (CRSAA) department is recognized for its expertise in environmental and industrial solutions. As part of our growth, we are seeking an Air Quality Technician to join our dynamic team in Montréal and contribute to innovative projects that help reduce environmental impacts.
Your Role
Within the team, your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in sampling campaigns for fugitive emissions from petrochemical processes
- Analyzing and annotating refinery and petrochemical plant P&IDs
- Verifying and applying compliance with environmental and occupational health and safety regulations (air quality, etc.)
- Calibrating and performing daily maintenance on measurement and sampling equipment
- Conducting environmental inspections of chemical processes to detect and repair fugitive volatile organic compound leaks at industrial sites
- Performing daily data processing
About You
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC or AEC) in environment, industrial hygiene, or another relevant field
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Good physical fitness (handling 12 kg sampling/analysis equipment, climbing ladders, and working at heights-must not be afraid of heights)
- Valid driver's license: the candidate must have access to a personal vehicle for travel
- Possession of the ASP Construction card is an asset
- Knowledge of standards, sampling methods, and atmospheric quality regulations is an asset
- Availability to travel occasionally within Canada depending on mandates
- Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate and oversee field activities with environmental engineers
- Team spirit, resourcefulness, and autonomy in completing project tasks
- Willingness to contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of services provided to clients
