Telecom Foreman - Qatar

We are seeking a Telecom Foreman to provide technical leadership and supervision within a dynamic IT and telecoms environment. This role involves supporting IT functions, maintaining telecom systems, supervising technicians, and ensuring operational and project objectives are met efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and supervise operational issues, problems, and support requests, coordinating with colleagues and stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
  • Handle support requests through system modifications, workarounds, reconfigurations, training, or escalation to senior engineers.
  • Monitor progress of support requests and keep users and stakeholders informed, taking corrective action to avoid delays.
  • Oversee operations, administration, and maintenance tasks, ensuring completion and proper documentation in SAP or equivalent systems.
  • Support small-scale projects or sub-projects by actively participating in all project phases.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues that may impact project success, reporting as necessary.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and assist in presenting issues and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with information security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with organisational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote safety, quality, and efficiency in all activities, in line with company SHE and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics, or Information Systems.

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum five years' experience in IT/telecoms support or related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of core applications, tools, and techniques relevant to IT and telecoms.
  • Familiarity with national and international IT/telecoms standards.
  • Experience in project management and supervising technical teams.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Competence in risk, security, and continuity management principles.
