Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

Location: The Woodlands, Texas

Reports to: Region I.T. & Project Manager

Job Summary: The Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the security of the company's digital infrastructure and protecting sensitive information. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing the execution of security measures to safeguard the organization's assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cyber security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with internal control systems.
  • Oversee the execution of information security controls and ensure they are performed at least semi-annually.
  • Manage and coordinate the response to cyber security incidents, including the development of incident response plans.
  • Ensure the implementation of security measures such as multi-factor authentication, encryption standards, and access controls.
  • Conduct training and awareness programs to educate employees on cyber security best practices.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with the company's IT strategy and security policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cyber security threats and trends, and implement measures to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with international teams to ensure global security standards and practices are consistently applied across all regions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
  • Experience with cloud security and data protection.
  • Knowledge of IT audit processes and compliance requirements.
