Position Summary:


The Survey Engineer conducts topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys using advanced equipment such as total stations and GPS, ensuring accurate data collection for project teams. They analyze and process survey data, prepare reports and maps, perform quality checks, and maintain survey equipment while supervising and training junior staff. The role involves collaborating with engineers, project managers, clients, and contractors to resolve survey-related issues, ensure compliance with plans and specifications, and adhere to safety protocols on-site.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction layout surveys using total stations, GPS, and other survey equipment
  • Analyze survey data and prepare reports, maps, and drawings for use by project teams
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of survey data
  • Monitor and maintain survey equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality
  • Train and supervise junior survey staff on proper survey techniques and procedures
  • Review and interpret project plans and specifications to ensure survey requirements are met
  • Conduct quality control checks on survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Keep accurate records of survey data, including field notes, sketches, and digital files
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any survey-related issues or concerns
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures on job sites.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Survey Engineer, preferably in the construction industry
  • Proficient in the use of surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and procedures
  • Experience with AutoCAD and other survey software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
