Lead Protection & Control Engineer | Substation Location: United States Start Date: 14 January 2026 Pay Rate: $69.68 Per Hour Job Description: As a Lead Protection & Control Engineer for substations, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of protection and control systems for electrical substations. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the substation. Key Responsibilities: Develop protection and control schemes for new substation projects Review and approve protection and control drawings and settings Perform relay coordination studies and fault analysis Lead commissioning activities for protection and control systems Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in protection and control engineering for substations Proficiency in relay coordination software and protection relay testing Strong understanding of electrical power systems and substation design Excellent communication and leadership skills PE license preferred
