Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Define certification basis and compliance approach: Propose and align the Type-Certification Basis and Means of Compliance with regulatory authorities.
- Lead the Certification Program (CP): Create required CP documents, coordinate actions with authorities, and manage the Compliance Checklist.
- Regulatory reporting: Provide regular status updates to authorities on certification program progress.
- Support certification execution: Coordinate engine/component test planning, analysis requirements, and teardown/inspection plans.
- Requirements flowdown: Translate regulatory requirements to design and systems engineering teams.
- Author certification documentation: Write certification test plans and reports.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced experience in Engineering/Technology and technical regulations/standards (knowledge comparable to a Bachelor's degree).
- Experience in certification work for aircraft engines components or similar aerospace products.
- Working knowledge of EASA and/or FAA certification requirements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to plan, document, and execute programs; solid project management capability.
Desired Characteristics
- Systems engineering background.
- Experience leading engine/component testing for aerospace or industrial products.
