This Position reports to:
SCM Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this position of Purchasing Manager you will have the opportunity to lead a team of procurement specialists in Finland and Estonia to execute SCM and purchasing strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. You will ensure execution and result making in accordance with Company and Procurement instructions and procedures. The position is located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, and we hope you can be in the office about 50% of the time.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Securing effective and successful execution of sourcing strategies in line with the Induction business strategy through tactical/operational processes.
• Executing programs to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, delivery, and working capital (payment terms, lead times, order quantities and purchased material inventory), in accordance with business procurement guidelines and manufacturing unit objectives.
• Leading and managing purchasing activities and securing on-time customer deliveries by being responsible for short and mid term material availability management and seamless collaboration within SCM community, operations, and other local division units.
• Being responsible for reliable supply including Supplier performance, OTD and world class inventory management.
• Developing processes and tools to increase efficiency in the team.
• Monitoring, reacting and coaching based on metrics related to team performance, including: supplier performance, team work load, internal and external quality, project material cost management and development actions.
• Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within company safety, integrity and procurement guidelines.

Qualifications for the role

• You are passionate about building strong professional working culture and capable to lead the team from targets to results.
• Demonstrated track record and a few years of experience in leading Supply Chain Management, Operational Purchasing, and Inventory Management.
• Excellent leadership and management skills for both people and competences.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability and will to continuously develop and standardize transactional purchasing processes and operations.
• You are highly skilled in and you enjoy working with relevant SCM data tools.
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Economics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or another relevant field.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Finnish language skills.
