Job Overview:

Welder plays a crucial role in fabricating, assembling, and welding components used in the oil and gas industry. This position requires a skilled individual with a strong background in welding techniques, precision work, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:
  • Manual arc, plasma, and gas welding of medium-complexity parts, assemblies, structures, and pipelines made of structural steels, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and alloys, as well as complex parts made of carbon steels, in all spatial welding positions.
  • Manual oxygen, plasma, and gas straight-line and shaped cutting, as well as cutting with petrol-cutting and kerosene-cutting equipment on portable, stationary, and plasma-cutting machines.
  • Oxygen-flux cutting of parts made of high-alloy steels and cast iron.
  • Oxygen cutting of ship structures while afloat.
  • Automatic and mechanized welding of medium-complexity and complex equipment, assemblies, structures, and pipelines.
  • Automatic welding of critical, complex building and technological structures operating under severe conditions.
  • Manual electric-arc air gouging of complex parts made of various metals.
  • Welding of cast-iron structures.
  • Surfacing (hard facing) of defects in complex machine parts, mechanisms, structures, and castings for subsequent machining and pressure testing.
  • Hot straightening of complex structures.
  • Reading drawings of various complex welded metal structures.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Secondary vocational education
  • Certified gas and electric welder, Grade 4
  • Fresh graduates are to be considered as well

Skills:
  • Certification in welding techniques such as AWS or equivalent.
  • Proficient in various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and Stick.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy, materials, and welding codes and standards relevant to the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential hazards
