- Execute company's Corrosion Management System across Onshore & Offshore facilities including assessing process corrosion, monitor chemical injection/treatment regime.
- Monitor & troubleshoot Cathodic Protection (CP) systems for Onshore/Offshore pipelines, equipment's & structures.
- Assess coating integrity, monitor pigging activities & carryout failure assessment in coordination with Integrity, Operations, Maintenance, Construction & HSE.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute and complete tasks related to the CP installation, energization, and maintenance of the existing and future CP systems (rectifiers, test stations, ground beds, critical bonds, foreign line crossings, cased crossing, surveys, etc.).
- Schedule & execute periodic CP monitoring, troubleshoot CP anomalies, if any, and report as per company corrosion management program.
- Arrange, coordinate & perform pipeline DCVG survey, troubleshoot and ensure coating Integrity.
- Arrange, coordinate & perform CIP survey to identify and rectify CP interference for onshore pipelines.
- Arrange, coordinate & perform instant ON/OFF survey across onshore facilities and ensure adequacy of overall Cathodic Protection system.
- Carryout chemical injection surveillance (target vs actual injection, dose rate, system availability) across Onshore & Offshore facilities.
- Submit periodic chemical injection status report, highlight and act immediately on chemical injection deviations & noncompliance.
- Assist Senior Corrosion Engineer in lab testing and field trials on new/existing chemicals and optimization projects.
- Collect fluid samples at specified locations in coordination with operations & laboratory, follow-up lab analysis and report.
- Coordinate and execute periodic probes monitoring & assess corrosion coupon at Onshore & Offshore facilities and report fluid corrosivity & mitigation status.
- Maintain inventory of all corrosion monitoring tools, instruments & equipment's, refill consumables as and when required.
- Support Field Integrity & Senior Corrosion Engineer in all aspects of corrosion.
- Identify corrosion damage mechanisms, design faults, corrosion problems & perform to mitigate the same.
- Recognize operating deviations and take appropriate corrective actions.
Education
- Undergraduate Degree in Chemical, Metallurgy, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Electrochemistry or Corrosion Science.
