This Position reports to:
Global Communications Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to business objectives through the development and deployment of innovative and effective marketing communications activities in line with global and local communication strategies, standards, and guidelines. Each day, you will be responsible for developing the marketing communication strategy and maintaining the positive image of the company and its brand and value proposition in the minds of the customers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring relevant marketing communication strategy and plans align with global marketing, corporate, and country communications strategies and guidelines.

This role is contributing to the Operation Centers and its essential to ensure consistent, strategic communication across ABB's global operation centers.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Develop and execute the global communication strategy for Operation Centers, ensuring full alignment with ABB's corporate and Business Area communication frameworks.
  • Establish and govern communication standards and best practices across all Operation Centers, driving consistency in messaging, branding, and execution.
  • Lead and oversee communications teams across India (INOPC) and Europe (EUOPC), ensuring unified communication approaches and delivery excellence.
  • Manage internal communication programs to strengthen employee engagement, organizational alignment, and leadership visibility through channels such as Viva Engage, newsletters, intranet, and executive messages.
  • Support senior leadership communication needs, including speeches, presentations, talking points, and change‑management communication during transformations or crisis events.
  • Collaborate with global cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to ensure coherent messaging, brand integrity, and strong communication partnerships across regions.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness, analyze performance metrics, and recommend improvements while managing communication resources and budgets efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with ABB's communication governance, values, ethics, and regulatory policies, fostering a culture of integrity, knowledge‑sharing, and continuous improvement within communication communities.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
  • Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related field
  • Experience in B2B or technology sector preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, Excellent project management and organizational skills and Proficiency in digital communication tools and social media platforms
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication management tools and understanding of sustainability and technology trends
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field OR Master's degree preferred
