Join us in our new Cranberry, PA office, where you'll play a key role in supporting our EHS program. In this position, you'll help ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations while upholding Emerson's safety and health Enterprise Standards.

Serving dynamic businesses in the power and utilities industry with a global reach, this role focuses on fostering a strong safety culture and driving accountability across the organization.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Support the implementation of comprehensive EHS programs that follow company, local, national, and international standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ANSI, ISO 45001, ISO 14001), addressing the specific challenges of the power and water industries. Ensure programs are scalable and adaptable across global operations and regional offices.
  • Foster a strong safety culture by promoting safe work practices. Facilitate training on safety protocols, risk management, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with global EHS to support initiatives for regional needs and provide effective communication across all operations.
  • Assist in ensuring environmental and safety compliance across all company facilities. Aid in environmental stewardship initiatives, support sustainability programs, and emergency response planning to mitigate risks.
  • Support incident investigations and root cause analyses for workplace events, including near-misses, PSIFs, SIFs, hazard reports, and recordable cases. Assist in ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions and help maintain accurate documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor EHS performance metrics to help evaluate program effectiveness, support audits, and identify opportunities for improvement. Promote best practices and encourage continuous improvement in safety management and environmental protection.
  • Support all business needs with regard to enabling Emerson employees to access our customer sites, to include, but not limited to collaborate with business development and contracts teams to review safety related contractual provisions, including drug testing and background screening requirements and to support safety collateral required for proposals. To supervise and oversee drug testing and background screening requirements. Support on-site customer deployments with physical presence as necessary.
  • Coordinate with the Security and Facilities teams to maintain security systems in compliance with company standards and support EHS and security projects related to facility upgrades, relocations, and expansions

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience
  • 4+ years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in Engineering or Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant EHS regulations
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety audits
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.


Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Safety Certification (SMS, OHST, CIT, ASP, CSP, etc.) or OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally.
  • Proven digital literacy including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills are required with the ability to work as a team member.
