Job Purpose

The Global Lean Lead will provide hands-on leadership to deploy, implement and drive the Lean Program at assigned R&M facilities. This position will spearhead the conversion to a lean organization driving the implementation of Value Stream Management, Materials Planning & Scheduling process improvement techniques and practices, JDE and My Advisor Data Collection and presentation in power BI format, Standard Work, Kanban/Pull Systems, end to end Supply Chain and Distribution Root-Cause Analysis and Problem Solving, Quality at the Source, Lean Daily Management, Just-in-time, Hoshin Kanri, A3/PDCA to create, drive and sustain a new culture of continuous improvement and information flow efficiency.

This position will work closely with other functions in the facility including Operations, Asset & Inventory, Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics, Procurement, Repair & Maintenance, Finance, Human Resources and Quality.

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Lead the deployment and sustainment of Lean initiatives in collaboration with R&M Managers and Facility Leadership, ensuring alignment with Materials Planning & Scheduling process improvement strategies and APICS / CPIM best practices.

• Identify waste and drive rapid improvement in Value Stream (VSM) information flow activities, develop continuous improvement roadmaps, and implement related action plans.

• Simplify, standardize, and sustain efficient Materials Planning & Scheduling process processes across the Global Repair & Maintenance organization.

• Implement and drive Materials Planning & Scheduling Office Daily Management (ODM) and Lean tools including VSM, 5Why, Standard Work, JDE automation, SIPOC, Process Mapping, Kanban, Visual Management, Hoshin Planning, and PDCA/DMAIC problem-solving cycles.

• Engage employees at all levels, from shop floor to senior management, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through daily management, Gemba walks and Lean Materials Planning & Scheduling process improvement techniques and APICS / CPIM best practices.

• Collaborate with R&M teams, functional leaders, and employees to identify process improvement and waste reduction opportunities, categorizing initiatives as actions, projects, or kaizen events. • Act as a change ambassador, promoting Lean culture, driving operational excellence, and ensuring measurable improvements in process efficiency and productivity. • Provide hands-on support on the shop floor, leading by example to sustain employee engagement in Lean initiatives. • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and communication skills.

OPERATIONS

• This position manages Lean/Six Sigma projects ensuring timelines, milestones and deadlines are organized, coordinated and met

• Ensures that the business case for each project is solid and based on appropriate, clear measures and includes clear goals

• Facilitates transactional process improvements through Lean/Six Sigma methodology focusing on manufacturing and back office

• Incorporates appropriate change management strategies and tools into project management

• Trains the workforce as appropriate

• Facilitates team meetings effectively and productively

• Uses rigorous data collection and analysis to guide effective team decision-making

• Scientifically tests solutions then selects and hardwires the best solutions that eliminate waste and improve efficiency and quality/financial results

• Incorporates a long-term control plan to sustain results

• Prepares and delivers reports/presentations at key intervals throughout the project

• Obtains project sponsor approval at each milestone and at project closure/handoff

COMMUNICATION

• Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external

• Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports

FINANCIAL

• All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses

• Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT

Experience & Education

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics, Industrial, or Manufacturing required.

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in applying Lean in Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution and Transportation, Manufacturing, Aftermarket, Repair & Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence roles in Oil & Gas or heavy industrial industries

• Certified Lean Gold and/or Silver Practitioner strongly preferred and/or Six Sigma Black Belt.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED

• Proven experience in Lean tools, systems and principles implementation and improvement in large global organizations.

• Kaizen event facilitation experience required at all levels of organization

• Proficiency in JDE/MY ADVISOR/Power BI / MS Office preferred.

Travel Requirement: This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to 40%
