Job Overview

The Field Specialist II applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform field-based tasks and service jobs across a range of Weatherford products and services. This role operates with a moderate level of supervision and demonstrates growing technical competence in job execution, data analysis, and equipment operation. Field Specialist II serves as a key interface with the client at the well site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery while supporting junior personnel as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in daily operations, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), promptly reporting hazards, incidents, or operational issues using approved systems.
  • Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in a safe, clean, and presentable condition.
  • Monitor, collect, and analyze operational data to recommend appropriate services and solutions.
  • Demonstrate the required knowledge and skills to perform work processes in accordance with role level, training, and competency.
  • Perform job planning, preparation of tools and equipment, mobilization, and execution of field operations.
  • Complete and submit all job-related documentation, including job reports, WPTS data entry, observation cards, service tickets/logs, and other required documents to enable timely client invoicing.
  • Remain available on a 24-hour on-call basis to respond to customer and operational requirements.
  • Test, operate, service, and maintain tools and equipment in accordance with work instructions, company policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients to support service excellence and repeat business.
  • Take responsibility for delivering superior service quality at the well site.
  • Manage inventory, materials, and supplies required for field operations.
  • Coordinate with the Repair & Maintenance (R&M) team to follow up on equipment failures and ensure failure reports are completed and closed with clients.
  • Participate in or support equipment failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
  • Where required by role level, oversee, guide, and mentor Field Operator crew members at the well site.
  • Perform engineering checks while on location, including hand calculations, verification of software outputs, and updated computations based on real-time data.
  • Perform other duties safely as assigned by the supervisor, within the physical requirements of the role.

  • Mathematical reasoning and analytical skills applicable to field operations.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven hands-on experience in MPD is highly required.
  • Strong knowledge of MPD and drilling operations is required.
