Location: Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico (Hybrid - candidates must reside in Monterrey or the metropolitan area)

About the Role

The Intercompany Accountant plays a key role within NOV's Shared Services Finance team, supporting accurate and timely accounting for multiple ledgers across the North America region.

This position focuses on intercompany accounting, month-end close, reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance with NOV and US GAAP standards.

Key Responsibilities

Intercompany Accounting

• Obtain and process intercompany invoices and supporting documentation.
• Record accruals for unprocessed intercompany transactions.
• Reconcile intercompany balances with other NOV entities.
• Balance general ledger accounts to intercompany AR/AP sub-ledgers.
• Prepare and issue recharge invoices to other group companies.

General Ledger and Month-End Reporting

• Prepare and post journal entries with proper supporting documentation.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations in compliance with corporate standards.
• Investigate and clear reconciling items within appropriate timelines.
• Perform month-end close activities and prepare supporting schedules.
• Provide financial information and analysis to support management decisions.
• Participate in process improvement and automation projects within the finance function.

Reporting and Compliance

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with NOV's reporting standards.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX internal control requirements.
• Support external and internal audit requests, including documentation and reconciliations.
• Assist in monitoring and improving internal controls and accounting processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance.
• 4-5 years of general accounting experience, ideally within a multinational company or shared services environment.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX requirements preferred.
• Experience in intercompany accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
