Short description

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the execution of a large‑scale Horizontal Directional Drilling project on the East Coast of Italy (8 drilling holes of 500 meters each).

The Site Manager will coordinate all on‑site activities, ensure operational performance, supervise the drilling crew, and maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

Function description

For this project, you will be expected to:

• Provide daily onsite leadership and management of HDD operations, rig crew, subcontractors, and support staff.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise drilling activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution of pilot drilling, reaming, and pullback.
• Oversee HSE compliance, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce safety procedures.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, and equipment performance; proactively address delays or technical issues.
• Support the shift transition once a second crew is added, ensuring continuity and consistency across operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager, Construction Manager, or Senior Supervisor within HDD or trenchless projects.
• Strong technical understanding of HDD rig operations (100-250 ton class preferred).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience managing multicultural teams and coordinating between client and contractor.
• Solid understanding of HSE principles and safe work practices.
• Ability to work long shifts in a rotation system (3 weeks on / 1 week off).
• Valid EU passport or permit to work in Italy.
• Good English and/or Italian level.
