KBR is seeking a DRAFTER / CAD Operator to support our SPACE SUIT for KBR's Science and Space division.
This is a temporary position for six months
The DRAFTER / CAD Operator will w ork on a collaborative team developing, building and maintaining Space Suits and supporting equipment for low Earth orbit and beyond.

The DRAFTER / CAD Operator will w ork on a collaborative team developing, building and maintaining Space Suits and supporting equipment for low Earth orbit and beyond.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Using CAD software, such as Draftsite and SolidWorks, prepare models technical drawings
- Working with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications
- Writing related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates
- Ensuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards
- Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates
- Updating existing drawings as new information becomes available
- Prepare and present designs at various design reviews using MS Word and PowerPoint
- Produce other required design documentation
- Understand nominal production processes
- Manage multiple issues at one time and develop an integrated solution
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Candidates must meet the requirements listed below to be considered for this position; please note required items on your resume.
- This position requires U.S. Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
- Education: Must have a associate's degree in the field of Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), or a related field.
- Years of Experience: Must have minimum of 1 years of recent and related work experience.
- In lieu of degree : Candidates with 5 years of relevant work experience will be considered.
- Candidate must possess excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, leadership, and team working skills.
- Demonstrated skill in using computer-aided design (CAD)/drafting equipment and software in design work.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with peers and cross-functional teams and external customers.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Windows & Office)
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with Solidworks, Draftsite and PDM
- Ability to examine and measure finished articles to verify conformance to standards
- Familiarity with JSC-STD-8080, Design and Procedural Standards
