Wood is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Canada Projects business delivering some of the world's boldest and most critical projects This opportunity is hybrid.

The Role

Wood is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the execution of various projects in our Canada Projects Business, Calgary office, with a core focus on our In Situ Oilsands business. The Projects may include both Greenfield and Brownfield work across the full life cycle of project stages; Studies, DBM, FEED, Detailed Design/Execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Typical responsibilities:

Project Execution Delivery Surveillance:

  • Working to ensure safe, cost effective, efficient, and timely completion of projects to meet and/or exceed client expectations. Also providing general technical support where needed.


Proposal Support:

  • Providing general, technical and strategy input into selected proposals


Business Performance and Growth:

  • Working with Wood Business Development to identify new clients and seek new opportunities. In addition to ensuring growth with our existing Clients.


Manage Projects:

  • Provide project management on selected projects


Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Wood, now or in the future.

QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years engineering or operations experience focusing on In Situ oilsands production and processing with a significant portion of the experience in an EP/EPC/ EPCM environment, within Engineering/Procurement, Construction and/or Operations.
  • ASET, APEGA, Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (APM) or equivalent certification.
  • Thorough understanding of project management techniques and practices.
  • Thorough understanding of project goals, drivers, strategies, stage gate processes, and schedules.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office 365 products
  • Significant experience and abilities with client-facing relations
  • Effective organizational skills and be able to multi-task.
  • Strong track record of successful project execution
