Procurement Source to Contract (S2C) is an integral part of how the BP business and functions operate. Procurement S2C supports delivery of BP business and functional strategies by driving efficiency, effectiveness. The Procurement S2C team is part of the sourcing pillar and drives the way in which BP approaches the market to source third party supply, balancing efficiency and value drivers in line with category strategy.

As a Line Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for BP's global sourcing activities within the Digital and talent (D&T) category across hydrocarbons, low carbon energy and retail businesses. You will be accountable for delivering value, leading risk, and driving perfection across sourcing and contracting processes. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, people leadership, and the ability to influence at senior levels across the organization.

You will manage a team of sourcing professionals, ensuring alignment with BP's business objectives and complete compliance with Category Management Policy (CMP) combined with local laws and regulations of respective bp operating regions; and to develop high performing team.

In this role You will:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Provide direction and taking care of sourcing strategies within D&T - IT Products and risk management frameworks.

Partner Engagement:

  • Act as a senior point of contact for key business partners, ensuring sourcing priorities are aligned with business needs and delivering significant value.

Sourcing Perfection:

  • Champion the use of advanced sourcing techniques, market intelligence, and digital tools to drive innovation, speed to market, and commercial value.

Negotiation Expertise:

  • Apply smooth negotiation techniques to consistently secure high-value outcomes. Resolves stalled negotiations and adapted strategies based on situational needs to improve supplier value.

Governance & Compliance:

  • Ensure full compliance with policies and procurement controls, regional governance, contract templates, and Delegation of Authority (DoA) requirements.

Performance Management:

  • Supervise and report on team performance using key metrics, including value delivery, cycle time, and partner happiness.

Change Leadership:

  • Lead the adoption of new systems, processes, and working across the sourcing teams.

Team Management & Development:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team. Feed a high-performance culture focused on capability building, career development, and continuous improvement.

  • Build and maintain a psychologically safe team environment where individuals feel respected, heard, and empowered to speak up, share ideas, and challenge constructively without fear of negative consequences.

  • Demonstrate and instill an entrepreneurial mentality within the team-encouraging innovation, ownership, and proactive problem-solving to unlock new value opportunities.

What You will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Engineering, Business, or other technical subject areas
  • Significant years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience in IT Products sourcing or equivalent environment in hydrocarbon industry will be an advantage.
  • Consistent record of leading high-performing, multi-cultural global teams and delivering complex sourcing strategies.
  • Strong commercial skills, negotiation expertise, and supplier relationship leadership skills.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with cross-cultural teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide senior partners and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Ability to work on shift hours and work in a remote location from the business.
  • Believe in Agile ways of working
  • CIPS qualification is an advantage

Desirable criteria:

  • Familiarity with Ariba Source to Pay, Salesforce and SAP SRM.
